Keeping a PM is definitely fun, it's like opening a mysterious box. You'll never know the color until it emerged to an adult beetle! It usually comes with metallic luster shines in shades of cream, red, green, teal, and black.
- Native Habitat: Australia - Queensland Distinctive
- Features: Males boast unique large stags with a prominent upper tooth that forks at the end like scissors. In contrast, female stags resemble tiny dragon teeth, growing upwards and splitting into pronged formations.
- Size: 50-68mm
- Adult Lifespan Once Active: Up to 24 months
- Larvae to Beetle: 8-12 months
- Behavior: These beetles are lively and friendly.
- Substrate and Air Temperature: Typically, they thrive at 64-82°F (18-28 ° C) , with 68-75°F (20-24° C) degrees being ideal. / Humidity: 50-70%
- Larvae Food: Kawaratake Kinshi
- Difficulty: Beginners
- Housing Tips: It's advisable to house adult beetles individually.

Beetle larvae go through 3 different larval phases: L1, L2, and L3. After the L3 stage, the larva pupates to turn into an adult beetle! This is an L2 larvae; it takes 8-12 months to turn into an adult beetle.
**Please do not release them if they are not indigenous to your area.
Larvae Rearing Tips:
- Both larvae and adults are highly sensitive to heat, so it's crucial to control the temperature and ensure proper ventilation.
- Larvae generally do not thrive well on materials other than Kawaratake Kinshi. It is recommended to use Kawarate Kinshi for optimal results.
