- Native Habitat: Flores island and Lombok, Idonesia
- Features: Super long jaws with sharp teeth, making up almost half of their body size
- Size: 40-120mm (the one in the picture is 109mm)
- Adult Lifespan: 6-12 months
- Larvae to Adult: 5-12 months
- Behavior: They tend to be aggressive and are fierce and powerful.
- Substrate and Air Temperature: 68-78°F (18-25 °C) / Humidity: 50-70%
- Beetle Food: Beetle jelly
- Larvae Food: Kawaratake Kinshi
- Difficulty: Suitable for beginners
- Rearing Tips: Best kept individually, both as larvae and adults.
Beetle Larvae go through three stages: L1, L2, and L3. After the L3 stage, they pupate and transform into adult beetles! The pictured larva is either L2 or L3 and takes 5-12 months to become an adult beetle.
